A Day in the Studio with HGTV pioneer Matt Fox

One reason why we love the digital media creation business is the people it brings into our lives.  If you've ever watched an episode of "Room to Room" on HGTV, then you recognize this man as the show's co-host, Matt Fox.  We were fortunate enough to spend a day with Matt in our studio, shooting video for a series of new web-based training products we're developing for Progressive Foam Technologies.  Matt is PFT's official spokesman.  And he's demonstrating PFT's "hot box", which clearly illustrates why their Fullback insulated siding is superior in energy savings and durability when compared to the old fashioned cement fiber and hollow-backed vinyl siding.  The box has a couple of heat lamps in it that warm up the backs of each panel.  The cement fiber panel on the left has no insulation behind it so the heat transfer makes it hot to the touch.  The Fullback siding panel on the right has PFT's foam insulation backing which blocks the heat, so it's cool to the touch.  So if you're thinking about residing your home or siding a new home, you need Fullback.  It's a no brainer if you're a person who wants to spend less money heating and cooling your home.  And if you don't relish the idea of having the siding blown off the side of your house in a wind storm or having holes punched into it by stones, baseballs or golf balls. To learn more, here's the URL to PFT's Fullback web site: http://www.fullback.com.

Matt Fox is a pro.  He co-hosted "Room by Room" with Shari Hiller.  BTW, here's the URL to their current web site: http://www.mattandshari.com.  "Room by Room" was the first program to be shown on Home and Garden TV (HGTV).  And it had a 14 year run.  Matt has been hosting and producing home improvement television programming for over 20 years.  He told us that he and Shari are in the midst of developing a new home improvement show for PBS.  His energy and attention to detail was impressive.  And he's genuinely a nice guy.  Did I also tell you that Matt Fox still lives in northern Ohio?  We're looking forward to working with Matt a lot in the future.
